A professor was on a trip to his home town. Half way, he lost three bolts holding the front tyre before he took note. When he got down, he realised he had narrowly escaped an accident.
The professor stood still, never knew what to do, waiting for help to come. He looked at the other side of the road to see if he could get a road side mechanic for help but everywhere was empty except for a mad man.
The mad man crossed the road to join the professor. At a glance the old professor could know the man visiting him was mentally challenged. The he tried to avoid him as he moved to enter into his car.
The mad man said “hello”.
In order to get him off, the professor said, “hello, please you can go”.
The mad man smiled and said, “do you need help?, “As you can see, replied the prof. “I had lost three bolts of a tire and I was seeking help”.
The mad man said, “You can help yourself of course. Why don’t you remove one bolt from two of other three tires and use it for the front tire?”
The professor was astonished with the new idea he had just got from a mad man. What he was told to do wasn’t what a high profile professor like him couldn’t do, but he had not even imagined that was possible.
The professor had dedicated his whole life to studying Chemistry. He never took time to get engaged in anything different from his field.
